NEPAL FACING SECOND STAGE OF CORONA INFECTION
Nepal is in lockdown to defend the pandemics of Corona. It is time for doing good to check pandemics for all. So, people also should obey all measures of precautions.
After being
two-month-long stability the first stage of corona infection, Nepal has entered
the second stage that is the stage before the community infection of
coronavirus. In total nine people infected so far in Nepal, the first case was identified
on 15 February. The hope to check in the first stage is become fade is unlucky for Nepal. Among 9 cases one has already got well as cured.
The meaning of
the second stage is the risk of infection is growing a little high, although, the
situation is not still out of control. Nepal had not any other option beyond
the lockdown of the country and declares it on 24 March. It was a hard decision but also a compulsory step for a small and poor country to protect the people from the corona.
The brightness of the hues of lives is seen fade in ongoing
lockdown against fatal Corona infection. The nature of Nepali society is traditionally based on reciprocity. Their days open along with exchanging of neighbors'
experiences but the imposition of lockdown is hampering the basic character of
Nepalese daily routine, especially in the urban areas. Although, urban life is
very scheduled by time except depending on the professionally agriculture-based
lifestyle in the villages. Anyway, the people of urban also manage a bit of
time to talk with their neighbors. This is why the fear of epidemic is
affecting urban people than rural.
In the rural area, it is not directly affecting the daily life of
people at this time, however people often talking about coronavirus. It indicates
their fear of corona infection. They have a concern about their relatives who
are in foreign countries or urban Nepal for the purpose of earning money or education. People are meeting each other and
talking about their contemporary issues. Because of rural Nepal is relatively
safe from the corona infection and few recorded cases of infections are seen in
them who recently came from foreign countries.
The people are following
the lockdown and they are passing time in their residences for the last two
weeks. It is very hard to pass time without doing anything. Economic
activities are stopped; a few essential supplies are running but not smoothly.
Roads are empty except police vans and ambulances. People are losing their
earning activities; lower classes need assistance for food and security. About
25 percent of people still under the poverty line in the country, this class in urban is in sever problem this time.
The eighteen hundred kilometer-long border between Nepal and India
was traditionally and publicly open but it is sealed during the lockdown. India
also is running under lockdown to prevent infection of coronavirus this time,
meantime thousands of Nepali laborers in India returning home are stranded
behind the borderline is a painful issue for Nepal. Such people who had already
come to Nepal, among them few have corona infected. India and Nepal both have
reciprocally decided to manage stranded people in the border, to protect the
man as the basis of where is who. India also suffering from the growing
corona infection is also a concern for Nepal.
Nepal should follow the precautions to check to go into the
community Infection. It is a very serious task but there is no other option for
the country.
